Curtis Morrison’s Updated Position on Proposition 50
As you probably heard, there will be a Statewide Special Election on November 4, 2025, to vote on Prop 50 — where California voters can decide whether to temporarily adjust the state’s congressional boundaries in response to President Trump’s scheme to keep control of Congress by redistricting red states like Texas.

As I believe gerrymandering undermines democracy, my reflex reaction was to oppose Prop 50.
However, when I saw Republicans feign outrage at California’s redistricting but not Texas’s, I evolved my position and now fully support Prop 50. Simply put, Republicans are not playing fair — and we cannot ignore that.
That said, my candidacy in the CA-48 race is about unseating Issa and is not dependent upon whether Prop 50 passes. I’m in this race to beat Issa. Old maps, new maps — either way, the people of Riverside and San Diego counties deserve better representation than Issa.
